Well, once again I tur to the blog after a time away. But this just seems like the time to post some of my thoughts.  As time goes on, I feel like the world I grew up in and we raised our children in has been slowly eroding away. Actually, lately, it seems to be eroding faster and faster each day. 

We elect people to go to Washington to represent us and to make responsible decisions on how to conduct the buiness of the country. Taking the country to war, even an undeclared war, in an pre emptive strike, seems a little extreme to me.  YES, Iran has made several strikes against the United States, starting with kidnapping U.S. citizens when Carter was President. Other actions on the part of Iran have happened over the years and during the tenure of most if not all of the presidents since then, so maybe this current action was warranted, but it just seems extreme to me with the results that are happening across the world. 

And now, the people that are paid to keep the lines moving at the airports are once again working without pay, while the politicians fight over semantics. They seem to be forgetting who they are working for. SO, NO MORE VACATIONS OR HOLIDAY BREAKS. Agree on a plan to fund the government departments, cut your wasteful spending and balance the federal budget and keep the people working. These over paid politicians are getting ready to leave washington for two weeks and no end in sight for the people who are loosing everything because they have no money coming in. Delta Airlines has susppended their priveleges for the duration and I hope other airlines will follow suit. The news reported this morning that there is a movement to close the two airports in Washington until this dispute is settled. I hope they do.  I hope the politicians are feeling the heat and I hopr it is getting hot for them.

LASTLY, I SINCERELY HOPE THAT EVERYONE REMEMBERS THIS ON ELECTION DAY. IF THEY WON'T PUT TERM LIMITS ON THEMSELVES, THEN LET US REMEMBER THEM AND DO IT FOR THEM BY VOTING THEM OUT OF OFFICE. DEMOCRATS, REPUBLICAN'S AND INDEPENDANTS ALIKE.
